Inventory

Invoice goods and services as line items.

In short

Catalog → Products / Services holds goods (optionally tracked) and services. There is no composite/bundle SKU that automatically consumes component stock. Put each line you sell on the invoice or estimate.

What you can do

What you actually set up.

Products and services, not a manufacturing BOM.

📦

Goods

Tracked products move inventory when invoiced or billed.

🛠️

Services

Non-stock lines for labour, retainers and fees.

📄

Invoice lines

Add as many products or services as you need on an estimate or invoice.

Why it matters

Simple catalogue, accurate books.

✓

No phantom assemblies

You will not sell a bundle SKU that the stock engine cannot explode.

✓

Clear COGS

FIFO / WAC applies to tracked goods you actually invoice.

✓

Estimates first

Quote a mix of goods and services, then convert to invoice in one click.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I sell a kit that deducts three components?

Not as an automatic BOM. Create the three products and add three lines, or invoice a single service/goods line if you do not track components.

Can I mix goods and services on one invoice?

Yes. That is the usual UK job invoice.

Do services affect inventory?

No. Only products with track inventory reduce or increase on-hand.

Where do I create items?

Catalog → Products / Services in the admin sidebar.

Catalogue, not kits

Sell what you listed. Stock what you track.

Business and above include inventory valuation. Solo is invoicing, bank import and expenses without the stock engine.
