Will an order sit in backorder until stock arrives?
There is no backorder document. Don't convert the estimate until you are ready to invoice.
Can I sell into negative stock?
Avoid posting invoices that oversell if you need strict control — check Inventory first.
Does the estimate warn about stock?
Check Catalog → Inventory yourself before converting.
Automatic PO suggestions?
The product show page tells you it is below reorder. You raise the PO.
